Biography

Shoumitro Deb is a Visiting Professor of Neuropsychiatry at Imperial College London, UK. Previously he was a substantive Professor of Neuropsychiatry at the University of Birmingham for many years. His research interests involve Intellectual Disabilities, Down syndrome and dementia, Epilepsy, psychopharmacology, and traumatic brain injury. He has over 235 publications (citation index: 6646, h-index: 42) and presented at over 240 national and international conferences. He ran a number of MSc courses in the UK universities. He developed Dementia Screening Questionnaire for individuals with intellectual disabilities (DSQIID) (www.ld-medication.bham.ac.uk) which has been translated into over 24 languages for worldwide use.
